ABOUT OUR FLORAL CSA

WHAT IS A CSA?

Community Supported Agriculture programs are an opportunity to build direct relationships between the community and the farmer. Members (that’s you!) buy shares in the farm's crops before the season starts and then enjoy the benefits of the harvest all season long. In essence, members are shareholders in the farm, becoming invested in both the risks and rewards.

With a flower CSA, members can look forward to hand crafted bouquets assembled with the most premium seasonal blooms from our farm.

WHAT WE GROW

In the early days of Summer you can expect curling sweet peas, peonies, feverfew, snapdragons, and old cottage garden favorites like campanula and agrostemma. As Summer progresses, it brings armfuls of dahlias, strawflower, larkspur, delphinium, scabiosa, amaranth, cosmos, sunflowers, rudbeckia, zinnias, and celosia. The abundance of Fall leads way to even more dahlias, ornamental grasses, pods, and vines as we begin the transition to dried florals in the winter months.

A CSA share makes for a unique and thoughtful gift for that special someone. Great for birthdays, Valentine’s Day, or Mother’s Day. Instead of giving one bouquet of flowers, give the gift of a season of blooms!

WHAT YOU CAN LOOK FORWARD TO

Every week as the season progresses, each member will receive a bouquet of fresh, seasonal, local flowers grown with sustainable farming practices and delivered to the pickup location listed below. Members benefit by knowing who is growing their flowers, where they are grown and how they are grown.

We will (try to) send out special newsletters throughout the season where you’ll be filled in on updates, what is blooming, flower care, and stories from the farm.

The ingredients in the bouquets will be different each week and will be a direct reflection of what is growing on the farm at that time. Each bouquet will vary in ingredients, size, and colors. Over the course of the season you’ll receive much more than the value of a share - we like to treat our share members!
